Instagram Marketing Techniques
Instagram has arguably become the most active platform for reaching all types of followers and target audiences. However, that popularity has also translated into a lot of clutter, meaning it has become way harder to stand out on the platform.
But you can definitely get a special edge that makes things easier for you, while getting you more followers and exposure. And the 8 Instagram secrets we will be walking you through in this post will help you do exactly that.
1. Stay strong Top of Your Favorite Influencers’ Posts
Do you know there’s an option that allows you to get notified when your favorite influencers make a post? Turning this option on can help you to get more exposure by commenting early on their posts.
To use this feature, you need to click on the three dots that you can see on the top-right when you’re viewing someone’s profile, and then click the “Turn on Post Notifications.” You need to do this individually for all the influencers you would like to follow this way.
2. Use Special Fonts in Your Bio
While you probably already know and use emojis in your bio, that’s something pretty much everyone else is doing as well.
If you want to stand out, you will have to do something more unique, and that’s where using special fonts for your bio comes in.
These fonts can look completely different than the usual Instagram font, helping you immediately grab the attention of your potential followers.
You can use any third-party websites to get these special fonts, such as LingoJam.
3. Finding Users on Instagram Without Logging In (Or Registering)
Sometimes you may want to search for some users on Instagram, but may just not feel like logging in or you may not even have an account there. Can you still see their profiles? Absolutely!
One of the ways to do this is by simply putting the username in the URL after Instagram.com/. So the exact format would be “Instagram.com/username.”
Alternatively, you can also use Google for this. You need to perform a search with “site:Instagram.com username” and you will find the user’s profile you’re searching for as the result.
4. Managing Multiple Accounts from the Same Device
Most business owners have both a business and personal Instagram account, and it can obviously be a hassle to manage them from different devices.
But it doesn’t have to be a hassle at all, as you can easily manage them both from the same device. All you need to do is to click the three dots on your profile (or the gear icon if you’re on a desktop), go to the bottom of the option list, and click on the option “Add Account.”
You then need to put in the username and password for your other account, you will be all set.
To switch between accounts, you need to first go to the navigation bar and then hold down on your profile picture. You can also do this by going to the Option list mentioned above.
5. Scheduling Posts for a Later Time and Date
Let’s face it. It’s not easy to keep up with your Instagram profile(s), especially if you’re in a niche that requires posting very frequently.
But you can easily get around this issue by using a scheduling tool. You need to follow some steps to integrate your Instagram profile with the tool, but you will have all the instructions to do it that will be provided by the tool’s developers.
6. Save the Posts You Like
Well, we keep coming across tens of posts on Instagram that are interesting or might be useful for us, but we may just not have the time to go through them all at that time.
But you can easily view them later when you like, by saving them to your “collections.” Instagram allows you to do this, and you can start making your collections by going to your profile and clicking the “bookmark” icon right below your bio.
You need to select the Collections tab, and create a collection by giving it a particular name. You will then be able to save posts to the different collections you create, and go through them whenever you like.
To save a post to a particular collection, you need to click on the same “bookmark” icon below every post.
7. Add Extra Creativity to Your Stories by Using the Text Mode
Instagram stories have become a great way to get instant exposure and, in some cases, even get featured on Instagram’s homepage.
However, as pretty much everyone and their dog start making Instagram stories, it has become harder to stand out. But you can still do it if you use a combination of a great story and some captivating text.
To use this strategy, you can click on the “A” box at the top-right of your screen when making an Instagram story. You will be able to choose from 5 different fonts, as well as many different colors.
8. Discovering New People to Follow
If you want to find the users that are “follow-worthy” for you, you can do it by checking recent liking and commenting activity of your friends.
To do this, you need to click on the heart icon that you can find at the bottom of your Instagram’s homepage. This will take you to the page that will display all the likes and comments your friends have made on your posts.
But you can also see their likes and comments on others’ posts by switching the tab from “You” to “Following.”
